Seven Sisters Gallery
Seven Sisters Gallery showcases diverse artwork by local and regional artists. This gallery is celebrated for its eclectic collection, which includes everything from jewelry and pottery to fine art and woodwork. Named after the nearby Seven Sisters mountain range, this gallery aims to capture the beauty and spirit of the surrounding landscape.
Red House Studios and Gallery
Operated by the Swannanoa Valley Fine Arts League, Red House Studios and Gallery is a community-oriented art space with rotating exhibitions, classes, and artist studios. The gallery regularly hosts art shows featuring the work of league members, as well as guest artists. The gallery space is located in a charming historic red house, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
Black Mountain Center for the Arts
Housed in the town’s City Hall, the Black Mountain Center for the Arts is more than just a gallery; it’s a hub for all things artistic. The center offers visual art exhibitions, pottery classes, and performing arts events. Visitors can explore its gallery featuring local artists, participate in workshops, or attend a performance in its intimate theater space.
North Carolina Glass Center
The North Carolina Glass Center is located in Asheville's River Arts District and is a dynamic hub for glass art. It serves as a space for education, creation, and community collaboration. It offers the opportunity to experience glass art through classes where attendees can create their own pieces. Also, it features a gallery showcasing the work of over 70 artists, with items available for purchase.

A Partnership with Purpose
About this Story: Students in Dr. Sara MacSween’s Advanced Marketing Management class at UNC Greensboro partnered with the Town of Black Mountain in Fall 2024 to promote the town’s reopening following Hurricane Helene and its ongoing marketing efforts. The North Carolina Department of Commerce, Rural Economic Development Division announced in January 2023 that thirty-four local governments from across the state, including Black Mountain, would participate in the Creating Outdoor Recreation Economies (CORE) Program. This collaboration is supported by an U.S. Economic Development Administration State Tourism Grant. CLICK HERE to learn more about the partnership.
